Cosmetologists across the Lehigh Valley are sharpening their scissors to fight domestic violence. Stylists in Northampton and Lehigh counties will hold a "cut-athon" from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday to benefit Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley, a shelter and counseling service. Ten salons will offer haircuts for $10 and manicures for $5. Proceeds help battered women and children. Executive Director Bonnie McDonald said Turning Point gets 2,000 calls a year from women who say they've been battered.
