I've recently started playing freeroll tournaments in a number of different online poker rooms, and one common problem that plagues most tables in most rooms is amatuer players going all-in on every hand (regardless of their hole cards), in the hope of doubling up their stack early, or at least robbing the blinds.
Now most of us know that this kind of player will lose a tourney 99.9% of the time, but they still infuriate me.
Lets give a example - we start a tourney with 1500 chips on 15/30 blinds, I get dealt a Ah 5H and just match the blinds to assess the competition. 2 more people round the table, and some guy goes all-in. Now, I know I have a reasonable set of hole cards, but its not worth the risk of going all-in, and going straight out in the first hand of a tourney, so I fold without even seeing the flop, and it turns out the all-in guy only has a 3 8 off-suit. Could have just been a good bluff i suppose, but very risky for a couple of comparatively small blinds, but through the next10-20 hands he does the same thing forcing me to fold fairly strong hand pre-flop. Eventually someone finally grows the balls to call him out (normally caus they're pissed off too, and running on tilt), and he gets taken out in one foul swoop.
Now for me, this amatuerr all-in tactic spoils the game...it's not good play, just childish. But how do they rest of you deal with these players?
